The amount of money companies can save by implementing even a basic video conference system can be mind blowing. It is just a matter of these companies to take a step forward which will involve grabbing new technologies with both hands.

Good luck with your new job. Storage is a good option to consider if you are downsizing, temporarily moving or selling your home and need to store your household somewhere.

Hey high-five man!

We just got broadband the other day too... ADSL to be precise. We live 4 miles from our central office (which provides the service), and we could never get it because the maximum for DSL is 18,000 feet (3.4 miles).

But they're extending it using repeaters to allow for my entire area to get the service! It's great! I'm too far to qualify for their Ultra Fast service (20 Mpbs), but jeez 1.5 Mbps suits me just fine after 56 Kbps for the past 10 years!

Happy browsing! (I can now watch Youtube :) )

Just like a used car, be sure to thoroughly check out any used forklift that you buy. You may want to have your mechanic go with you when you buy the used forklifts so that he can check them out. You don't want to waste money on someone else's problem.

I'm assuming you sent a tractor and trailer and not a "pickup truck" to pick up a forklift. Those things are massive. Sorry, I know people say truck when they mean big rigs but I guess I'm a little anal about that.

You need to be getting new forklifts anyway. How were you able to get 25 years out of a forklift? We are lucky if ours last 10 years? Who is your mechanic and how can we steal him from you? :-)

It is amazing how high many items have gotten over the years. Many businesses are going the used route when trying to buy heavy equipment. The local factory in town has a contract with their supplier where they will contact them whenever they get trade-ins.

So what are your maintenance costs for maintaining your forklift fleet? Do you find it more cost effective to repair the old ones until they totally give out or do you find it more effective to replace older models every few years?

You made your forklift sound like a person when you said it "passed away." Then again, I guess if you use a piece of equipment long enough, it almost becomes a part of you. People do get attached to their cars and give them names, etc.
